Understanding what motivates your candidates and team members, where their passion is and what is important to them helps with selecting, retaining and developing top performers.
You can use the information to select candidates that will be motivated to fulfill their role in your company and on your position. You can also hire those that will fit in with your company culture.
(For example, a candidate who is passionate about making money but who is unwilling to help people other than his or her family will not be fulfilled working as a counselor. Or someone who is willing to give something up in order to make a difference in people’s lives, but doesn’t care about making money, won’t be motivated to work in sales.)
Being able to affirm and validate top performers in ways that are most highly valued by them will help you retain them.
And knowing what’s important to your team members enables you to approach them in ways that are meaningful, not only for acknowledgement but also for development.
As with DISC, the PIAV will not predict which candidates will be successful (that’s what personality and cognitive assessments such as Clues, Prevue and Assess are for). But when used with predictive assessments this report provides valuable additional information to select satisfied, motivated and engaged top performers.
